My first job out of college was at Shaw Dental Lab in Winnipeg where I completed my apprenticeship in the 80’s. By the 90’s I became the technical director for all 6 Shaw locations in Western Canada and managed the 26 employees at the full service lab in Edmonton. While working with Prosthodontists and DMD’s in the Edmonton Implant Study Club, I saw the need for advanced dental restorations and started my own specialty laboratory - Laserfix - which operated for 20 years. But the draw of my children and new grandchildren living on the island led us to move to the valley in 2016.

While Laserfix still operates as an eyeglass repair company, my new company - Comox Valley Dental Lab - concentrates on high quality, hand crafted crowns and bridges with exceptional customer service. I have come to appreciate the lifestyle this valley offers and will work hard to become your “local lab”.
